Dr Emad Arabo is the secretary of the Chaldean Australian Society since 2013. He currently works with TAFE NSW as a part-time teacher in the field of community services. He worked with private colleges as a community services teacher. He has a Diploma of Community Services Work from TAFE NSW, Australia. Emad also works as a Chaldean language interpreter.
His community work (Mostly voluntary) since 2012 includes: helping the Chaldean and local communities in Fairfield and Liverpool areas, Sydney, Australia; providing support and settlement services to newly arrived refugees and humanitarian entrants to integrate with the Australian society; and planning and delivering community projects/activities to the local community members in Fairfield city area. As a secretary, he represents the Chaldean Australian Society in meetings and liaising with councils, department of home affairs, department of social services, parliament members and ministers, federal and state, mayors and councilors, etc. He usually prepares the submissions to the department of home affairs regarding Australia’s humanitarian programme, funding applications, reports, information pamphlets, flyers, etc.
Dr Emad Arabo obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. from the Chemical Engineering Department, Nahrain University, Baghdad, Iraq. He worked as a Chemical Engineer, Al-Awaali Company, Ethanol Production Plant, Baghdad; as an Assistant Lecturer, and then Lecturer and Staff Member, Chemical Engineering Department, Nahrain University, Baghdad; then as a Research Fellow, School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, University of Sydney.
He is a member of: American Chemical Society, Australian Society of Rheology, Australia Awards Alumni Network, and Iraqi Engineers Union. He has publications in peer-reviewed international engineering journals and conferences. He is a recipient of Endeavour Award, Australian Government, 2007. His Endeavour Award Certificate is signed by The Hon Julia Gillard with his name has been individually penned by distinguished Australian calligrapher Gemma Black, 2009. His biography appears in “Who’s Who in the World”, published by Marquis Who’s Who, USA, 2013-2015.

الدكتور عماد عربو هو سكرتير الجمعية الكلدانية الاسترالية منذ 2013. حالياَ يعمل كمدرس للخدمات المجتمعية مع TAFE NSW. عمل سابقاَ كمدرس للخدمات المجتمعية مع كليات خاصة. حاصل على دبلوم في العمل المجتمعي من تيف نيو ساوث ويلز TAFE NSW، استراليا. عماد يعمل ايضاََ مترجم اللغة الكلدانية.
عمله في مجال الخدمة المجتمعية (غالبا عمل تطوعي) منذ عام 2012 يشمل مساعدة المجتمعات الكلدانية والمحلية في مناطق فيرفيلد وليفربول، في سيدني، أستراليا. د. عماد يوفر خدمات الدعم والاستيطان للاجئين الواصلين حديثا للمساعدة في اندماجهم مع المجتمع الأسترالي. ايضاَ يخطط وينفذ نشاطات وفعاليات مجتمعية الى المجتمع المحلي في منطفة فيرفيلد. اما عمله كسكرتير الهيئة الادارية في الجمعية الكلدانية الاسترالية، فهو يمثل الجمعية في الاجتماعات والتنسيق مع المجالس المحلية، وزارة الهجرة/ شؤون الوطن، وزارة الخدمات الاجتماعية، أعضاء البرلمان والوزراء ورؤساء البلديات والمجالس، وما إلى ذلك. د. عماد يعد التقديمات المقدمة الى وزارة الهجرة بشأن البرنامج الإنساني الاسترالي للاجئين، وطلبات التمويل والتقارير والكتيبات والنشرات وما إلى ذلك.
حصل على البكالوريوس والماجستير والدكتوراه من قسم الهندسة الكيمياوية، جامعة النهرين، بغداد، العراق. عمل كمهندس كيمياوي، شركة العوالي، معمل انتاج الإيثانول، بغداد; مدرس مساعد ثم محاضر وعضو هيئة تدريسية بقسم الهندسة الكيمياوية، جامعة النهرين، بغداد; ثم زميل باحث في قسم الهندسة الكيمياوية، جامعة سيدني.
دكتور عماد عربو عضو في كل من: الجمعية الكيمياوية الأمريكية، والجمعية الاسترالية للريولوجي، وشبكة زملاء الجوائز الاسترالية، ونقابة المهندسين العراقية. لديه بحوث منشورة في المجلات الهندسية والمؤتمرات العالمية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وبريطانيا واستراليا. وهو حاصل على جائزة انديفر من قبل الحكومة الأسترالية، 2007. شهادة جائزة انديفر الاسترالية الممنوحة له موقعة من قبل معالي جوليا جيلارد (رئيسة وزراء استراليا سابقاً) وتم خط اسمه من قبل الخطاطة الاسترالية المعروفة جيما بلاك، 2009. ظهرت سيرته الذاتية في كتاب “من هو الذي في العالم”، الذي تننشره شركة ماركوز هوز هو، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، 2013-2015.
